ADGM job-exit calculator

Calculate an ADGM final settlement

Build salary, unused vacation, notice and end-of-service gratuity separately under the ADGM Employment Regulations 2024, then compare each line with the employer statement.

Step 1

Which rules apply to your employment?

Your employer’s legal registration matters more than the city where you work.

Government employees, domestic workers, pension-enrolled UAE/GCC nationals and unsupported free-zone cases need a different review. Not sure which path applies?
What this calculator covers

Full job-exit settlement planning across salary, leave, notice, gratuity or DEWS, additions and deductions.

Use a focused tool instead when

You only need overtime, annual leave, a notice date, salary conversion, unpaid leave, public-holiday work, probation notice or salary-complaint triage.

ADGM is a separate employment jurisdiction

Use this path when the legal employment relationship is governed by ADGM. Working physically in Abu Dhabi is not enough by itself. Check the employer registration and employment documents before choosing the ADGM formula.

ADGM gratuity uses a 365-day Basic Wage rate

The traditional ADGM gratuity calculation applies 21 days of Basic Wage for each of the first five years and 30 days for each later year. The daily gratuity rate is based on annual Basic Wage divided by 365, not monthly basic wage divided by 30.

The 50% Basic Wage floor can change the gratuity input

For ADGM gratuity, the Basic Wage used for the calculation cannot fall below 50% of Annual Wages. If the contractual Basic Wage is lower, check the effective wage basis with the ADGM 50% Basic Wage Floor Calculator before accepting the employer's gratuity line.

Unused vacation uses ADGM Daily Wage

Vacation compensation is a separate line from gratuity. The Daily Wage method uses annual Wages and the employee's working-day pattern; for five working days per week, the annual denominator is 260 working days. Do not reuse the gratuity's 365-day Basic Wage rate for vacation.

Why two different daily rates can both be correct

An ADGM settlement can legitimately show one daily rate for gratuity and another for unused vacation because the wage definitions and denominators differ. A transparent statement should label which rate is being used for which entitlement.

Termination amounts generally have a 21-calendar-day payment window

ADGM's termination-payment rule generally requires Wages and other amounts owing, excluding specified treatment for variable payments, within 21 calendar days. The calculator shows the deadline but does not automatically add a late-payment amount because the separate penalty rule has conditions.
